Thanks- I did see that mentioned at the end of the book, but I didn't know Frank had a blog. It makes sense that he continues with another book- while Pagan Christianity questions tradition, it only vaguely implies what might be an alternative, so it will be interesting to see his idea of a New Testament based church in action.

Funny thing, is I'm not even Christian, but I enjoy learning about other religions and he had some thought provoking ideas about spiritual community building.

The sequel to “Pagan Christianity?” is out now. It’s called “Reimagining Church”. It picks up where “Pagan Christianity” left off and continues the conversation. (“Pagan Christianity” was never meant to be a stand alone book; it’s part one of the conversation.) “Reimagining Church” is endorsed by Leonard Sweet, Shane Claiborne, Alan Hirsch, and many others. You can read a sample chapter at http://www.ReimaginingChurch.org . It’s also available on Amazon.com. Frank is also blogging now at http://frankviola.wordpress.com/ .

I hope to interest you in reviewing my novel, The Drums of Legenderry, in your blog. The book targets middle-grade readers and others who might enjoy a fantasy visit to the mythical village of Legenderry.

Located in the mountains of northern Italy, Legenderry is surrounded by an enchanted forest inhabited by a goddess called The Rhythm Maiden and her family of spirit beings. They possess magical powers that they use to help humankind and sometimes trick people in a fun way. The novel is loaded with mythological stories about the first drum, weeping willow tree, magnifying glass and other fun folklore. It also unearths in a delightful story why no giants’ bones have ever been discovered. Rhythm trickles throughout the book as the Rhythm Maiden arranges the rocks in her turbulent stream to create exciting, rhythmic patterns.

Please visit my website at www.Legenderry.com where you can find sample chapters, my biography, and samples of my complementary drumming CD called Drum Songs. The Drums of Legenderry is available on my website, Amazon or as an ebook at MobiePocket and other ebook distributors.

Please let me know if you would consider posting a review of the book and perhaps the CD. I would be delighted to send you a complimentary copy. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Yours truly,

[...] John Gale wrote an interesting post today onHere’s a quick excerptThe Paradox of Choice: Why More is Less by Barry Schwartz The American gospel of individualism and the free market seems to preach that the more choices we have the better. But Barry Schwartz argues that as our options increase, the worse we tend to be at making choices. And the less we enjoy the choices we make. He starts by discussing this in shopping- all the different types of bread, or jeans we can buy. Then he goes on to show all the phone & communication options, entertainment, choices over how we pursue relationships, careers, religion. He supports his claims with many psychological studies. Schwartz explains that people respond to this smörgåsbord of choices by being “choosers” who think about the importance of the decision and “pickers” who passively pick from whatever is available. Maximizers try to get the best, but while looking everywhere for it and finally making a decision, […] [...]
